Drum Making
A substantial number of animal hides go to waste every year in the United States. This is often due to a lack of capacity to process or basic know-how. Savannah’s mission is to share the old knowledge on how to repurpose a hide so we can renew these nature-based skills together, and honor the animal’s life by doing so. Each drum is made from ethically sourced elk, deer, buffalo, or cow hide. This means steps are taken to use each part of the animal or see that it’s given back to nature.
